Mice are wrecking my pantry. It destroyed a 20 #bag of rice only two days old.?

My main question is about bait. But now I see with brodifacoum chlorophacinone. Which is best? There are no children nor pets here. Dcon with brodifacoum seems to take forever to plus to work with many bowls of the stuff. Thank You!

  • You're not asking bait - you're asking to poison.

    DO NOT USE POISON.

Here's why: You have mice, this much sure. But what happens if the mice do not eat the rice? Where are they?

Almost everywhere. Can get every little hole through the head with a mouse, the body can follow. The same is true for rats, and it's really quite amazing to discover, as are many small holes in it as in most homes.

Thus, the mouse eats the poison. He gets sick and dies. Where did he come from?

We're back where we started: almost everywhere. And the smell of a dead mouse is surprisingly strong. You would not believe how such a small body smelled so bad, or so long. Leave it in a relatively confined space, where the body remains moist for a longer time to die, and it smells that much longer and stronger. And in the meantime, as it almost anywhere you might not be able to find him.

Set a trap. Traps are more effective and cheaper than poison. The mouse is dying, where the trap and remove it before it starts to smell. Rather than suffer a slow death of the mouse dies in a quick, humane * SNAP *

Bait with peanut butter. I like to bring the peanut butter on the bottom of the bait pedal, so to wiggle the mouse to get them to the bait. Place the bait pedal end against the wall. Mice like to hug the wall, it makes them feel less exposed. Under an overhang or in an otherwise closed space is also good - less exposed again. Check it every day. After catching stop it, move it to new places.

And I keep my rice in the freezer. I like rice, but it still takes some time to get over £ 20, and the freezer you do not get grain moths shelter, either.

    Good luck with it.

  • Our experience is that they take our bait and store them in crates to the engine, etc. The only effective thing for us is snap-traps (they love peanut butter).

They come in two things: to keep warm in winter, and to find food. You can diet by eliminating everything in metal or plastic container.

  • I think the rice in large water bottles.
I have a new type of mousetrap. The guy who spins and traps, if they occur. If the entrance is on the mouse hole, the mouse does not recognize the mouse trap. I had great success.

  • seal any hole found no matter how small - check the plumbing pipes under sinks, tubs, toilets, even if central a/c. They find every little place in. I use foam sealant to close holes have, it's a mess but works very well. You do not use poison, leave dead mice stink that you will never forget. plus just think it is the poison with the mouse you can get it on your food, after nibbling on something. (I know you would not eat for a mouse, but only say they can have the poison on their feet on something).I would get the snap traps, or the way that they go in and die, but you can not see them
