arlettde Before I say this is my coffee is nothing special, it must be easy on/off switch. I break it down and run it through the dishwasher. I usually tie the cord so it will not burn on the heating. If urs is something special with timers and other items --- not the dishwasher. If you fancy kind of vinegar would make the job, but it will not clean all use some Clorox kitchen cleaner or wipes to finish the job.
I my dishwasher for a variety of everyday cleaning, such as cleaning the glass from ceiling fans, nick tricks that glazed.
