• arlettde I suspect the thermostat for heating purposes only am. If this is the case, hook a wire to the RH and the other W/B. It does not matter which color goes to each terminal in a two-wire situation.

• The red wire is the 24 volts from the step down from the oven thermostat. As long as there is electricity in the oven and it works step-down transformer always energized.
  
  The white wire is the switch leg, and is set when thermostat is turned into heat. Like a light switch, but by when the room temperature and the thermostat's set temperature control are the same.
  
  Once the stove is factory set temperature hits the fan will automatically begin after heating.
  
  
  Most heating and cooling thermostats have four wires, one red, one for heat, a fan starts up for the temporary or permanent, or after heating or cooling, and a run for the air conditioning.
