My house is heated with a central electric and gas, but my bottom was a cave stove fireplace that has now old gas logs. Should I pull the old gas logs and make it back to a fireplace chimney or spend the 400 + money for new gas logs. I like to know woodburning but not whether it would be worth.

- Yes gas is expensive. I would definitely pull the gas logs off and back to burn wood. You'll get the heat from burning gas, but of course, burning wood is less expensive and also has a nostalgic atmosphere that you can not get from gas.
